This resource provides materials for teacher professional development on various methods, benefits, and challenges of co-teaching, particularly in the Special Education field. It introduces the various forms of co-teaching relationships, exemplars and non-exemplars of successful co-teaching strategies, approaches for developing co-teaching skills and opportunities to co-plan lessons. Three separate Academies are available: (1) Working Together: General and Special Education; (2) Co-teaching Strategies; and (3) Co-Planning Curriculum Using State Standards.  These materials can strengthen educators’ instructional delivery for implementation of the College and Career Ready Standards (including Common Core State Standards) especially for struggling students and students with disabilities.
